All about Arran

The island of Arran is 20 miles long and 56 miles round and is the most accessible of Scotland 's islands, only 2 hours from Glasgow.

Generations of visitors return year after year because "quite simply" it is stunningly beautiful.

Often justifiably referred to as “ Scotland in Miniature” it boasts spectacular scenery with jagged mountain ridges, sandy beaches and a stunning coastline. Palm trees grow in the temperate climate due to the influences of the Gulf Stream and a wide variety of wildlife are seen including deer, seals and otters. Over 200 species of bird have been recorded here including hen harriers and buzzards and in the higher peaks you may be lucky enough to spot a golden eagle.
